Dear Egmont friends,
I have a problem. I use certain words far too often. And it needs to stop.
When I was in high school, and everyone I knew was in their "Valley-Girl" phase, my father used to become incredibly annoyed with my constant "liking." (And this was before the days of Facebook where it became okay to "Like" anything from a witty wordplay to Nikes. But I digress.) After over a week of rain, the weather yesterday, on Day Two of BEA festivities, could not have been more lovely. All the more woe that we were stuck inside Javits.
Egmont ushered in the Expo with a party co-sponsored with several other small independent presses around town. It was a treat to chat with a handful of Egmont authors - Christina Mandelski, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Trinity Faegen, Ilsa Bick - and many wonderful booksellers.

I've been slacking, folks. I have not been regularly posting here. But now the slacking will end, because my plan is to try to come post at least once a week. The posts won't necessarily be long.
