On Insecurity

So, I'm revising right now.
Although I've been trying, for a variety of reasons, to slow down my workload over the past year or so (surely 1-2 books a year is a reasonable schedule, yes? That is, for people who prefer to be ulcer-free?), I somehow found myself with a first draft of a novel due the week before my wedding, and the revision due tomorrow, the week before I leave on a month-long honeymoon.

Avatar - are we writers above it all?

Without exception my writing chums enjoyed Avatar but said that it is predictable – if not thunderingly predictable.

Something about this bothered me. Isn’t it rather too easy a criticism?
